This home page has been created using the content management Typolight
A content management system allows me to separate the programming of the page from the actual content. This allows me to add content at any time without worrying too much about the formatting and layout which I programmed to begin with and can change as and when I want to.
The text is mostly written in Open Office (which is free and which I thoroughly recommend) which picks up and corrects most of my spelling mistakes. I also have a Nokia E65 telephone with bluetooth keyboard which allows me to create content while I am out having fun and download it to the home page on my return or via a GPRS connection.
We have two digital cameras to take the photos which are used here. Once we are back home I can cut, touch up, adjust or resize the photos using Gimp (which is also free).
Sometimes I forget to take a camera or have a "spontaneous adventure". In such cases I have to use my Nokia mobile phone to take pictures. the quality is not as good as with a camera but it is better than nothing. I can directly upload photographs to the Internet Google Web Album using ShoZu.
